How to reach us – Your journey to Camping Massimo in Bolsena
Whether you arrive by car, train or plane, Camping Massimo on the beautiful Lake Bolsena is easy to reach and offers one of the most beautiful panoramic roads in central Italy.

Arrival by car
From the north (e.g. Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Netherlands):
Take the A1 motorway (Autostrada del Sole) southbound until the Orvieto exit. From there, follow the signs for Bolsena / Lago di Bolsena. The route takes you along an impressive panoramic road through the volcanic landscape, with views of Orvieto Cathedral and the crater lake.
After about 30 minutes, you will reach the town of Bolsena. Drive through the centre and follow Via Cassia towards San Lorenzo Nuovo. Our campsite is signposted from here. After about 3.5 km, shortly after Camping Cappelletta, turn left towards Camping Massimo + Apartments. Please indicate in good time!
From the south (e.g. Rome or Naples):
Take the A1 northbound until the Orvieto exit. Then continue as described above.
Alternative route:
Coming from Florence, you can also take the scenic route via Siena – Acquapendente – San Lorenzo Nuovo.
Arrival by train
Train station
The nearest train station is Orvieto (approx. 25 km away).
From there, you can:

Airports
The nearest airports are:

Rome (Fiumicino or Ciampino) – approx. 2 hours by car
